Upgrade Your STIKABA When You Need More

The purchase and installation of a STIKABA Operation Level upgrade is performed through the STIKABA Dashboard and the SyferSafe website, with the STIKABA plugged into the PC.

An Operation Level can be upgraded at two convenient times:

  • During initial STIKABA initialization and personalization, when the user is first configuring the STIKABA.
  • At any time afterward, when changing requirements make additional STIKABA features or capabilities desirable.

There is no need to decide at the time of purchase which advanced Operation Level you may eventually require. Every new STIKABA begins at the Personal Operation Level, allowing you to start using and evaluating STIKABA before purchasing additional capabilities.

When your requirements change, simply plug the STIKABA into the PC, open the STIKABA Dashboard, and use the Dashboard together with the SyferSafe website to purchase and install the desired Operation Level upgrade.

Start With Personal — Upgrade as Your Needs Grow

Every new STIKABA begins at the Personal Operation Level. The Personal level is included with the initial STIKABA purchase and provides 50 Encryptions, 1 Family, and 1 Group.

As your encryption, Key-management, and organizational requirements increase, your STIKABA can be upgraded to one of four higher Operation Levels:

Personal → Associate → Partner → Enterprise → Director

Operation Level upgrades allow the same STIKABA to grow with your requirements without replacing the device.

Purchase Only the Capability You Need

STIKABA uses a scalable upgrade model. You do not have to purchase the highest Operation Level when you initially purchase your STIKABA.

Begin with Personal, evaluate your requirements, and upgrade when additional capabilities are needed.

A STIKABA may advance one or several Operation Levels in a single upgrade.

Starting with a Personal STIKABA:

For example, a user who purchases a Personal STIKABA for $449 and later determines that Partner capabilities are required can upgrade directly from Personal to Partner for an additional $95, resulting in a total STIKABA cost of $544.

The user does not have to purchase Associate first and then separately purchase Partner.

Upgrades Include Additional Encryptions

An Operation Level upgrade does more than increase the STIKABA’s organizational capabilities. The upgrade also adds Encryptions to the STIKABA’s encryption inventory.

Starting with a new Personal STIKABA containing 50 Encryptions:

The encryption inventory associated with Operation Level upgrades is cumulative. If Encryptions have already been used before an upgrade, those previously used Encryptions are taken into account when determining the remaining inventory after the upgrade.

Families and Groups Expand With the Operation Level

Each Operation Level also determines the number of Families and Groups available to the STIKABA.

Unlike encryption inventory, Family and Group capacities are assigned by Operation Level and are not cumulative.

Families and Groups provide the hierarchical structure used to organize STIKABA Keys.

A Personal user may require only a simple Key structure, while an organization may require separate Families and Groups for departments, customers, projects, data types, subscriptions, or other secure communications.

Upgrading the Operation Level increases the capacity of this Key-management structure.

The appropriate Operation Level can be selected according to the capabilities required today and upgraded as those requirements grow.

  • Personal provides the starting point for individual use and evaluation.
  • Associate expands Key sharing and Family/Group capabilities.
  • Partner provides the capacity needed for multi-person and organizational applications.
  • Enterprise substantially expands the Family/Group structure and adds capabilities appropriate for professional and customer-facing secure communications.
  • Director provides the maximum Family/Group capacity and the highest level of STIKABA administrative capability.
